Studio Akane Moriyama created curtains for a private house by qp design in Osaka, Japan. The house is situated in Showacho, downtown Osaka, where houses are lined up closely. In order to protect the privacy of the residents each window is treated with a different measure of transparency according to floor level and direction of window. Semi-transparent, knitted linen fabric make up the curtains, the amount of fabric varying; more in street level and less in the upper floor level. The character of the weft-knitted fabric features curly edges, which brings a soft and loose expression to the spaces.
