In the winter of 2008 Studio Akane Moriyama was invited to create a temporary video installation space in Galleri Konstfack, Stockholm, Sweden, accommodating video art by Japanese artist Eri Ito. Studio Akane Moriyama proposed projecting moving images through a 14m long textile volume in the space, consisting of 45 layers of semi-transparent fabric. As visitors went through the narrow gallery filled with 2,8m high textile planes they found the video work gradually appearing three-dimensionally, projected on numeral layers of textile, becoming clearer as approached. This offered a visual and tactile experience to visitors moving through the space, touching and opening the layers of textile.
